@thepeninsulaistanbulhotel waking up at 5 am is ea @thepeninsulaistanbulhotel waking up at 5 am is easy and “Sunday scaries” don’t exist. 🛏️Room features: it’s very possible this room is smarter than me. So many outlets, charging stations, and smart pads to control everything with. Heated bathroom tiles awaited my feet for my morning shower. A delicious cup of coffee brewed that I enjoyed while looking at the Bosphorus strait until it was time to retreat to the dressing room (which I got VERY used to having that space) to ready myself for the day. 📍Location: perfection. The buildings that make up the hotel property were once the port terminal and the area has become a trendy nightlife spot. It won’t interfere with sleep though because the property has been fully renovated. You’re at the stop for the public water taxi and ferry and about a 15 minute walk to old town, across the bridge. 🏨Hotel features: roof. top. bar. There’s also a restaurant up there too, but it’s a beautiful place to spend time after a long day of touring to wind down and observe the strait. The property has its own spa and offers a Turkish bath treatment without having to leave the comfort of the hotel. A stunning infinity pool appears to run into the strait and anchors the garden along built along the water front. ✨Special touch: the service! The same way serving staff learns your name on a cruise, the staff of the peninsula knew my name and my order by the time I woke up on day 2. While the rooms are very intuitive, the staff is even more so. @peninsulahotels hotels also offers a dynamic check in/check out, so you can arrive at anytime and freshen up with a shower or take a nap. Can you put a price on a shower after 12 hours on a plane? I didn’t think so. There are 12 hotels in 12 cities where you can enjoy the peninsula promise for yourself, but the Istanbul one will have a special place in my heart. After being on the road for 2 weeks straight for the second time this fall, the first week being in @goturkiye and the second week in @vegas , I knew I was going to have to suck it up and check a bag. It was worth it! I was able to stay organized in the most modern and functional way with the @ricardotravel Montecito 2.0 medium check in. It’s the perfect size for both a Türkiye and a conference wardrobe, plus conference papers, Türkiye souvenirs, and is distinctive when going around the baggage carousel (which it did 6 times in the span of 2 weeks.) . . . . . #meimagic #travelingwithmeghan #meitravel
