My Favs on Thursdays:: “twist party scarf” headband
My Favs on Thursdays is a weekly link up with my best bloggy buddies Katy and Nicole and share our favorite thing of the week. Link up with us below!
Headbands are my first accessory love. Dare I say above shoes and purses. Blair Waldorf was my idol for all her covetable headbands in the early Gossip Girl years. Being a glasses lover often contradicts my love for headbands though. Anything that solves that issue and can bring my two loves back together makes me one happy girl. Enter the “twist party scarf.”
For lack of a fancier way to explain this miraculous contraption, it’s like a head scarf with a wire hanger inside. They’re more complicated than that, but you get the basic idea. Since it’s flexible, I twisted it so it fit just right. I was able to wear it for 8 hours straight without pinching behind the ears, my glasses moving it around, and no tension headaches. The pinching and headaches aren’t just limited to glasses-and-headband wearing gals either. I purchased mine at the ICE Atlanta holiday market I worked with Nicole and Cameron of DBN. (Nicole actually introduced me to Kel of r-ki-tekt by way of her cool necklaces.) She also had this solid black faux snake skin looking one at ICE that I wish I had also picked up, but you can get yours just like my black one here. There’s also a white with black dots if that suits your fancy.

I have the largest head in the history of the universe. So a twisty headband like this would be wonderful. đ
That's so cute! I love that it stays in place. If I wear headbands, they always shift around and slip down.
I love you be headbands but often forget about wearing them, especially when I'm in a rush. Thanks for inspiring me to pull out a few and start wearing them again.
I usually don't even do my hair so putting a headband in it is a big deal.
Haha! I highly doubt that, but yes, this is perfect.
I totally understand that. This one doesn't move unless I hit my head.
Headbands were my first acessory love too! haha. I didn't watch Gossip Girl until after the fact, but now that I think of it, I wonder if people thought that I wore them all the time because of Blair Waldorf? Who knows haha. I seriously wore one everysingleday for like 2 years straight. But I'm with you on the glasses + headbands struggle! I also wore my contacts every day for 2 years since I couldn't wear my glasses with a headband. I wish I would've had some of these wire scarf ones. I need to find me some now đ
