My Favs on Thursdays:: Customer Service & Gloss48

My Favs on Thursday is a weekly link up with my best bloggy buddies Katy and Nicole and share our favorite thing of the week.

When your life is speeding along at a million miles a minute, small things often times become big things and you appreciate going the extra mile that much more. That’s exactly what happened this week with a company that I ordered from the first time. They didn’t pay me to say this, but I want to call attention to their amazing customer service because it made my week.

My Favs on Thursdays may be happening Friday morning, but I’m not going to miss an opportunity to brag on a company that impresses me. The mark of a good company is when they take the time to appreciate their customers. Gloss48 did just that for me.

Back in June I had placed an order with them with a gift card I had won from the Steele Maiden. I tried some soaps, skin refresher, and then ordered an old faithful, nail polish from Laqa & Co. (which I will be sharing later). A month passed and I had received all of the items but the nail polish. Since it’s a type of a beauty flash sale site, everything shipped separately. After I contacted them inquiring about the status of the nail polish, I received a lighting fast reply, profusely apologizing, and telling me that it was on it’s way with some bonus items. In two days I received the nail polish with the bonus goodies below. Gloss48 went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. There are some people that wouldn’t return at all if such an experience happened, but we’re human, imperfect, and mistakes happen. It’s amazing customer experiences like this where the company more than make the situation right that keeps me going back.

  2. Customer service makes all the difference! I ordered a bracelet from TheCurrentCustom.com and Lorraine included a hand-written thank you note. Wendy from Moop sent a personalized screen print. Most Etsy shops are great as well, so I try to support them as much as possible! Hannah Naomi, ManKindbyBella, and Moop do a fantastic job.
