Budgeting Bloggers is a linkup hosted by Fran of Franish where you recap what you purchased and spent in the past month in an effort to curate a functional closet!
Hello December’s end. It’s crazy to see how fast this year has gone. As cliche as it is to say that, I find myself saying it more and more. December was a small month of shopping for me. I don’t care for crowds at the malls in December and being out of town twice during the month kept me from shopping. Surprisingly, I shop less when I’m out of town. Here’s what did get delivered to my house during December::

1.
Heathered Jersey Dress:: Orig $118, paid $49
2.
Renegade Cluster Bracelet:: Orig $59, paid $35 for two via posh closet
@missief
3.
Me Too Kaden flat:: Orig $80, paid $12 via posh closet
@rasampson1978
4.
Buffalo Plaid Quilted Vest:: Orig $108, paid $44
5.
Colorblock anorak:: Orig $125, paid $20 via posh closet
@minnecita
Total:: $160 (made $242.05 off sales)
Total saved off retail:: $389
I need every month to be like this! I did a lot of Poshmark shopping compared to more recent months. They re-did the app and it has been harder to find things I like. The bracelets aren’t in the best shape, but I saved so much money and they’re great quality. I hope to clean them both up a bit. I’ve already been wearing the one that looks good. The flats are to replace a pair I wore out and are identical to another pair I already owned and am very excited to have gotten them for such a good deal. The anorak was my best purchase. New with tags for only $20? Perfect.
After taking three months off from madewell orders, (I’m so proud of myself– though I did go to a store once) I broke my streak and was (as always) more impressed with the dress in person than on their website. The fabric is amazingly soft for this dress. The only other retail order came from J.Crew factory. Vests have become my best friend this season.
So! How did you do during December?
Loveee that Madewell dress! You did awesome this month. 🙂

Holy smokes! You did amazing this month!!! I WAY over did it this month and am jealous. I need to be like you in 2015. 😉
Oooh I love Me Too shoes! They're super comfortable. Nice job with your budget!
Dress like an Engineer
That. Vest! (insert heart as eyes emoji face).
I actually did most of the shopping for others this month. You did awesome with your shopping. Love that vest!

I have become such a vest fan! Dan teases me because he's like, "Are your arms not cold?" But they are the perfect layering piece in these weird Southern winters.
What wonderful purchases this month, they are all fantastic! I love the dress and your new jacket!
#2 needs to be on my wrist!
I love what you bought this month! I didn't keep track of my purchases this month 🙁 I wish I had! There's always January…
Those are some great purchases! I love that vest!
xo,
Angela
I think you made some good purchases this month, and did a lot better than I did – all my holiday shopping resulted in a lot more closet additions for myself.
Chic on the Cheap
Some excellent and smart buys (and amazing deals!). These are all so versatile and I can see them getting tons of wear! Love the dress, and I'm living in vests lately too, including a JCrew Factory one that I bought along with quite a few other things – oops – in all the 50% off pre-Christmas sales (turns out being done with your Christmas shopping early is dangerous because then you don't have the "I'm supposed to be shopping for other people" control when there are all these great sales – got my winter capsule ready to go for a bargain though!).
That anorak was a steal! I like it. It almost has a bit of a nautical feel to it 🙂
That vest is too good! May need two:)

I'm super proud to say that I had another month of spending $0! I have a gray sweatshirt dress that looks a lot like your new Madewell dress (although mine is sleeveless). It's so cozy and comfortable and I loooove it! 🙂 I can't wait to get inspired by you as you wear yours as well!
You are doing amazing at your no-spend streak! That's awesome. I would love to steal some ideas from you too!
It would be worth it if you did!
Thanks Cassie! I feel like it may become more of a spring coat because of that, but it was a great deal!
That's awesome! I still haven't finalized my winter capsule because I'm waiting on a few orders to come. January sales are my achilles heel! Vests are my new favorite wardrobe item. They're so perfect!
It happens. Sales are everywhere and you're out in them. I've already made up for having a good December though by blowing January out of the water. Every January starts this way though.
Thanks Angela! I love all of it.
Thanks Rebecca! January 2014 was when I started with budgeting bloggers. It's a great time to start something.
It's SO pretty! It's been on my wishlist for a while. I was thrilled to find it on Poshmark.
I need to be December me in 2015! lol. I've already gone way over what I need to spend in January. That's so typical for a January for me though.
Thanks Kimi! You're always picking up such gorgeous Madewell stuff too.
Thank you! Me Too shoes are always worth the investment. I have a few pairs now.
LOL! I need emoji on my regular keyboard.
Thanks Nikki! I had been lusting after it forever and when it finally went on sale, I pounced on it.
You're so right. Vests are perfect for the south. They keep the parts that matter warm.
Thanks Inge! They have been on some serious repeat.
